Photographic scratches usually fall into two categories:

• Individual Scratches that arise from creased photos or scratches on the negative.
   
• Numerous small and tiny scratches that arise from a photo being stored in a drawer for a long time, maybe together with a lot of pencils, screws or other kind of things that have damaged the surface of your picture.
